War artifact

  My  artifact is a picture of the detonation of the first nuclear bomb on August 6, 1945 in Hiroshima, Japan. The bomb was dropped by the United States aircraft, "Enola Gay." This affects my understanding of war by showing me how determined people were trying to end World War 2 because the bomb didn't only kill soldiers of the war, but as well as many civilians.
